I survived!

I worked my first night shift as a nurse last night (as opposed to as a CNA). It went really well. I was a little concerned I would be tired and dragging, but being active and walking around really helped the energy level. The first half of the shift is pretty busy - getting into the patient rooms and doing an assessment, managing all the medications and then answering call lights. But by the time 4 rolls around, all there really is to do is charting and last night I couldn't do a whole lot of that. So I hit a wall about the same time that charting was being done, but medications are due at 6, and I got my second wind.

When my shift was done I went and found where Mikaila works and chatted with her for a bit. I don't know if chatted was the right word because I probably was speaking in one word responses, but whatever. And when I got home, I still had a little bit of energy and I was a little bit worried that it was just enough to prevent me from falling asleep. But I went to bed anyway. I slept like a rock. I woke up once when my phone rang and I was surprised to see I'd already been asleep for 6 hours. I managed to get back to sleep and get a full 8 hours before getting up, but I'm going to be investing in an alarm clock so I can turn off my phone during sleeping hours. This sleeping during the day thing is really weird though.

Nope, you didn't use one-word sentances! Good job. :) When you left everyone said, "She seems really nice!" and Caleb even said, "And funny!" :)
